Miami Elementary School is one of the community-driven Elementary Schools in Michigan dedicated to serving grade PK-5 students as part of the Chippewa Valley Schools. Miami's student population is just under 480 students, a low teacher to student ratio allows for personal support while operating in a caring environment. While academic performance is partitioned in such a way that students have clear growth in overall skill development, all growth scores above average and as a whole Miami shows many students advancing even though proficiency is representative of the diverse learning abilities and needs of the community. Families value that Miami Elementary continues to maintain and improve facilities with two gyms, a media center, and outdoor fields; as well as offering quality before and after school care programs. Miami Elementary highlights its diversity with nearly 40% of students coming from minority backgrounds while creating a culture of inclusion to prepare children for success. Miami remains one of the more recognized Elementary Schools in Michigan.
