Jones Lane Elementary School is all about getting involved in the community and helping students with their schoolwork. Some examples are giving out the Parent Newsletter with news about school-wide events, putting up online resources for Math and Reading Night, and telling parents about important information about Kindergarten Registration. Mr. Ron Morris is the current principal of the school. He leads a dedicated staff that works hard to make sure that students learn in a safe environment.
Q1: What are the school's colors and mascot?
Ans.The students at Jones Lane Elementary School picked the name "Jaguars" for their school, and the official colors are black and gold.
Q2: What group of secondary schools does Jones Lane Elementary School send kids to?
Ans: The school is part of the Quince Orchard Cluster. After this school, most kids go to Ridgeview Middle School and then to Quince Orchard High School.
Q3: What is special about the school's architecture?
Ans.There are hallways in the school that go around an inner courtyard. In the courtyard, artist Jim Garey made one-of-a-kind dinosaur statues out of old car parts.
Q4: What is the most important specialized program that Jones Lane has?
Ans: The Social and Emotional Special Education Services (SESES) program takes place at Jones Lane Elementary School, among other places. This program helps students who qualify with their social and emotional needs at school.
Q5: Is there care for kids before and after school at the school?
Ans.Yes, the school often partners with groups like the Montgomery Child Care Association (MCCA) to offer a supervised program for school-age kids that gives them extra time to learn before and after regular class time.
