The school boasts a vibrant Parent Teacher Organization (PTO). Their initial open meeting of the academic year was slated for Tuesday, August 26th, kicking off at 9 AM in the school library. The PTO keeps parents informed with a monthly "Bobcat Broadcast" newsletter, which is distributed through Parent Square.
Q.1 What paperwork is needed to register?
Ans- A birth certificate, current immunization records, proof of residency, a recent physical examination, and a photo ID from a parent or guardian are the answers.
Q.2 Are requests for school transfers approved?
Ans- Families may request an intra-district transfer, but the availability of seats will determine whether their request is granted.
Q.3 Is there bus service available?
Ans- Yes, district transportation is available to students who live farther than the allotted walking distance.
Q.4 How will I be notified of any changes to the bus's route or delays?
Ans- The district uses emails, phone calls, and texts to notify people.
Q.5 Do students get free breakfast and lunch?
Ans- Yes, Sewell-Anderson offers free meals to all students as part of the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP).
Q.6 Does the school provide special diet or allergy-safe meal options?
Ans- Yes, in response. In order to make dietary accommodations, families should let the school nurse know.
Q.7 Is it okay for my child to bring lunch from home?
Ans- Yes, students are allowed to pack their own lunches. For safety, nut-free tables might be offered.
Q.8 What tests do Sewell-Anderson students take?
Ans- Students finish both statewide MCAS testing and district benchmark assessments.
