An $800,000 donation will help Jackson Elementary School in Des Moines switch to a Montessori model for pre-K through grade 8 starting in the fall of 2026. This change is part of the district's "Reimagining Education" plan and comes after the approval of a $265 million bond. Its goal is to give a diverse group of students hands-on, student-centered learning.
