Recently, students in the JAG Club and the Humanities Amped SGA at Tara High School finished a big community service project, showing how committed they are to getting involved in their community. The school's athletic culture is getting stronger all the time. The recent "Angels" celebration honored staff members who have made a lasting positive difference in the lives of students. The campus is also still focused on its unique project-based learning model, which combines academic rigor with social and emotional growth to get students ready for a variety of post-secondary paths.
Q1. What do students at school do to help the community?
Ans. Students in the JAG Club and Humanities Amped at school recently finished important service projects to get people in the area involved in civic life and social responsibility.
Q2. What is the main idea behind the school's unique way of teaching?
Ans. Tara High School uses a project-based learning method that combines academic rigor with social-emotional growth for all of its students.
Q3. Are college entrance exams like the ACT administered on site?
Ans. The school sets up regular ACT testing dates and gives students special prep materials to make sure they are ready to apply to college.
Q4. What does the school do to celebrate staff who have a positive impact?
Ans. The "Angels" celebration was held recently to honor teachers who have made a lasting positive impact on the lives of students.
Q5. Are there any new ways to express the way artistically?
Ans. The Humanities Amped program gives students in school creative ways to learn about literature and social issues through projects that use different types of media.
