The school offers a lot of different academic programs, such as core classes and Advanced Placement® classes. About 55% of students take AP® classes, which lets them learn at a level that is similar to college, and it is one of the best High School in "Louisiana" . The school has a lot of different kinds of students. About 98% of them are not white, and about 66% of them don't have a lot of money. The test results show that 2% of students are good at math and 15% are good at reading. Students also take standardized tests like the SAT and ACT to help them get ready for college. The amount of money per student is in line with what is normal for the district and helps with teaching programs.

Belaire High School's campus is going to get a lot of new technology, including a new commercial-grade kitchen to support its growing culinary arts program. Students in the Entertainment Technology department are getting real-world experience with new filmmaking and radio production tools, which will help them get jobs in digital media. The school has also put more emphasis on industry-based certifications, so students can graduate with professional credentials in fields like business management and robotics.
