Being Updated
In January 2025, the district said that eight teachers had earned their first certification from the National Board for Professional Teaching Standards and six more had renewed their status. This brought the total number of board-certified teachers in the district to 56. This award for outstanding teaching shows how serious the district is about providing high-quality instruction and professional development. The certified teachers said that the difficult process gave them a chance to think deeply about their work, improve their planning, and better support student learning. The announcement was about the whole district, but the achievement shows that the district is making a good investment in the quality of instruction that could help students at Deer Park Elementary.
This news suggests that Deer Park Elementary is part of a district that is working to improve classroom instruction by hiring teachers with higher levels of education. This is a good sign for the school's academic environment and efforts to help students.
