Latest News

As per recent news from the school, in early November 2025, Field Elementary became one of the places where people could drop off food for a new food drive started by the Jefferson County Public Schools district and the Dare to Care Food Bank. Families, staff, and community partners have been asked to bring non-perishable food to the school over the course of two weeks. The effort is in response to more people in the area needing help with food. There have been more concerns about food insecurity in students' homes this year at the school's family resource center. The program aims to help students with their breakfasts, weekend meals, and after-school snacks. Field Elementary staff say that being a convenient "neighborhood hub" for the drive makes it easy for parents who are already at the school for conferences or after-school activities to join in. The school focuses on academics and enrichment, but this program shows that it is also important for students' health and well-being. School leaders say they will look at how many families use the drive and decide if more help should be offered in the future.
