Being Updated
Lexington's Ashland Elementary School has had a great year, with lots of small wins that add up to something special. As per their teachers reading and the math skills have steadily improved because there are more hands-on lessons and more time for one-on-one help. Students are also noticing the difference: they are more confident, more curious, and more ready to take on challenges. This year, one of the best things was "Innovation Week," when classrooms turned into mini-workshops where kids did science experiments, design projects, and had a lot of fun. The art and other cultural programs of the school's have also been great with families and neighbors smiling at student performances and exhibits. Parents have been a big part of that success. The PTA has been busier than ever, putting together events, decorating hallways, and helping teachers with whatever they need. All of this has brought the community closer together. This culture shows that learning at Ashland Elementary isn't just about books; it's also about feeling like you belong.
