Latest News

In rencent news, more than 300 students from the Warren County Public Schools district took part in the annual "SOKY Robot Royale" at Western Kentucky University's Downing Student Union in April 2025. They have built programmed, and operated robots through many obstacle courses. The news story talks about the whole district, but Jody Richards Elementary is part of the system and is also focusing more on STEM skills and robotics for younger students. These types of participation shows that the school's students are getting extra hands-on STEM experiences and other technical stuff's that go along with the main curriculum. With more and more focus on technology and engineering in schools, this event can get the attention of parents and community members who want schools that go beyond the basics. It also points Jody Richards Elementary in a good direction for improving its STEM programs and getting kids more interested in robotics and programming.
