Cooper Elementary School celebrated two major staff achievements recently. Second-grade teacher Olivia Winegeart was named a finalist for the 2025 Kansas Teacher of the Year, and music teacher Becky Schmidt received the SCKMEA Elementary Music Educator of the Year award in late 2024.

Ans. Cooper teaches students how to be respectful, responsible, and kind, so they know how to act in all parts of the school.
Q2. How does Cooper manage the process of getting to and from school?
Ans. The school monitors the drop-off and pick-up areas and implements a designated traffic flow to ensure student safety during their transition between cars and campus.
Q3: How do families at Cooper stay informed?
Ans. Parents get updates through newsletters, website posts, and communication with teachers that include reminders, information about events, and school news.
Q4. What are some ways for parents to get involved at Cooper Elementary?
Ans. Families can help out, join parent groups, and go to school events that bring people together and help kids learn.
Q5: How does Cooper help kids learn social and emotional skills?
Ans. Staff teach kids how to control their emotions, solve problems, and work together. Counselors are also available to help when needed.
