Cloud Elementary School’s first-grade teacher Perla Coyle was awarded a $1,000 Education EDGE grant. She was one of 21 district teachers selected to receive funding for innovative classroom projects.
Q1. What do students at Cloud Elementary expect from each other?
Ans. Cloud stresses respect, responsibility, and safety, and staff members make sure that these values are upheld in classrooms, hallways, and other shared areas.
Q2. How does Cloud make sure that students arrive and leave safely?
Ans. The school keeps student transitions safe by using organized traffic patterns, supervised entrances, and clear family instructions.
Q3. How does Cloud keep families up-to-date?
Ans. Parents get newsletters, school announcements, and messages from teachers that remind them of important events and things that are coming up.
Q4. What kinds of ways can Cloud families get involved?
Ans. Parents can help out at school, join committees, and go to events that help kids learn and build relationships in the community.
Q5. How does Cloud help students stay healthy?
Ans. Cloud offers SEL lessons that teach empathy, problem-solving, and how to control your emotions. Counselors are also available to help students who need it.
