Being Updated
East Antioch Elementary School in Overland Park is having a time of being kind, being creative, and getting to know the community for better way. The school just had a "Kindness Week," during which students and staff did things related to the theme, like writing encouraging notes, playing games together, and celebrating small acts of kindness that happened around the campus. The program has helped people get along better and made the world a better place for everyone. On early dismissal days and during breaks, kids can also safely hang out and have fun at the school's after-school program, "Y-Club." Students like to do hands-on activities, play games, and work on creative projects that require them to work together, solve problems, and have fun outside of class.
