Successful "Camp Kindergarten" Program: In March 2025, it was announced that Lee Elementary would again host the free "Camp Kindergarten" program in June, aimed at helping children prepare for success in school. This collaborative effort between the Riley County Health Department and USD 383 has been running for ten years and received positive feedback from participating parents.
Q1. What are the school's special theme days?
Ans. Lee has spirit weeks, book character days, and science celebration days.
Q2: What does the school do to promote healthy habits?
Ans. Students learn through nutrition events, wellness programs, and breaks for physical activity.
Q3. Can students be leaders?
Ans. Helpers, classroom monitors, and volunteers for events are all examples of leadership roles.
Q4: How does the school keep in touch with families?
Ans. Families get newsletters, app updates, and regular messages from teachers.
Q5. What kinds of extra activities happen during the school year?
Ans. Students like guest workshops, STEM activities, and days when they can learn by doing things.
