The Tippecanoe School Corporation runs Woodland Elementary School in Lafayette, Indiana. It is a public school for students in grades K–5. The school has about 590–600 students and a student–teacher ratio of about 14:1. This means that classes are relatively small and students get more one-on-one attention. Woodland Elementary has a full curriculum that meets Indiana Academic Standards. It includes English/language arts, math, science, and social studies as core subjects. The Tippecanoe School Corporation named Lisa Merryman the 2025 Elementary Teacher of the Year in April 2025. She worked at Woodland Elementary School in Lafayette, Indiana.
