Being Updated
There was a lot of energy on the West Terrace Elementary School campus in Evansville when the new school year started. Barbara Lynn is the new principal of the school. She spent her first week meeting with families, visiting classrooms, and talking to students about what they want to accomplish this year. Staff members say the change has gone well, with a clear focus on improving communication and helping students grow both academically and socially.
The school also showed off some changes to its classrooms. The media center got more books and other learning materials to help with early literacy goals, and teachers now have access to new technology for the classroom. During an early open house, families were invited to see the improvements, and many people from the neighborhood came.
These changes show that there is a steady effort to keep West Terrace Elementary moving forward and make it a friendly place for students and families.
