Top schools in EvansvilleHighland Elementary School is a public school in Evansville, Indiana that serves kids in kindergarten through fifth grade. The school has about 450 to 500 students and an average student-to-teacher ratio of about 15:1. This lets teachers give students steady help during the day. Highland Elementary puts a lot of emphasis on early reading and math skills and tries to make sure that all of its students can learn in a way that works for them. About 25–30% of the students are Hispanic, Black, Asian, or multiracial, so the student body is diverse. According to state reports, about half of the students are doing well in Math and English Language Arts, which is about the same as Indiana's overall performance.
