John R. Lewis Middle School recently expanded its student leadership program to give students more chances to take part in campus assemblies and community outreach projects. The objective of the initiative is to foster the capacity of public speaking and a spirit of citizenship among the student population. The new leadership positions have resulted in a significant increase in student engagement and school pride among the faculty. The program continues to be an integral part of the school’s efforts to create well-rounded students.
