Young scholars at Hickory Point Elementary School recently completed a comprehensive campus recycling project that promoted everyday green habits across all early childhood rooms. The school community joined together for a high-energy assembly with visiting children’s authors to inspire early literacy skills. Parents still praise the administration for its clear communications and supportive learning climate.
Q1. Is there a before school care program on-site at Hickory Point Elem School?
Ans. Every day beginning at seven-thirty o'clock a supervised early morning program is conducted in the multi-purpose room.
Q2. What kind of shoes are not allowed in gym class at Hickory Point Elem School?
Ans. Students must wear closed-toe athletic sneakers on physical education days. Flip-flops, sandals and boots are not allowed.
Q3. What identification does an adult need to show before taking a student early from Hickory Point Elem School?
Ans. Office staff will be required to have a valid government issued photo identification card with an authorized name on file.
Q4. How do families in the neighborhood find out about weekly folder updates from Hickory Point Elem School?
Ans. These are updated on-line every Thursday afternoon for sharing campus news and reports in the digital backpacks and communication folders.
Q5. Is there a playground area for early childhood classes at Hickory Point Elem School?
Ans. “The campus includes age-appropriate climbing structures and soft-surface play zones designed for kindergarten through second-grade students.”
