Recently, the Central Illinois Bridge Academy came together on a multilingual literary project about inclusive education and reintegration into the student body. Award-winning author Pablo Cartaya and Robyn Seglem of Illinois State University supported the academy by engaging students in multilingual storytelling experiences. “The program was created to help students cope with transitional trauma and transition into new community settings. The partnership showed the academy's dedication to literacy, emotional support and culturally relevant pedagogy.
