Recently, Mount Vernon Area Career Center collaborated with Mount Vernon High School in hosting a Career and Technical Education Department Showcase for families and eighth-grade students to learn about the various program opportunities. Faculty, students and alumni held a panel discussion after current students in nursing, culinary arts and barbering programs led tours of the CTE classrooms. The center also continues to provide opportunities for career exploration through events such as the annual Career Day and local job fairs that connect students to employers and postsecondary pathways.
