In 2025, Mount Vernon High School had a record-breaking year, sending 83 Upper School students on week-long externships during Interim, the largest cohort in the school's history. Students had a real-world experience in settings that included corporate headquarters and nonprofit organizations, where they received hands-on exposure to the industry and mentorship from professionals. The program is one way the school continues to provide hands-on learning and career-focused experiences to give students the leadership and innovation skills they need.
