COSMO I Registration/Payment Day for juniors entering the Cosmetology program was held June 27, 2025 at Franklin Cosmetology Institute at Grundy Area Vocational Center, including kit fees and contracts for the upcoming school year. We are expanding the Cosmetology, Health Occupations and Building Trades pathways at the Union Street campus and Health Occupations students get to practice on real medical simulation like sutures, phlebotomy and EKG application. GAVC partners with the Community Foundation of Grundy County to coordinate the annual 8th Grade Career Fair which provides 8th grade students in Grundy County an opportunity to explore trades, healthcare and technical programs prior to registering for high school.

Ans. Yes, students work on projects and do things that help them learn skills they can use in the real world.

Ans. Respect, working together, and being responsible make sure that the school culture is safe, welcoming, and open to everyone.
Q3. Does Grundy Area Vocational Center help students think of new things?
Ans. Yes, students can find out more about art, music, and new projects that will help them be more creative.
Q4. Are college entrance exams conducted here?
Ans. Students can take the SAT and ACT tests on-site or through programs that work together.
Q5. What does Grundy Area Vocational Center teach?
Ans. Grundy Area Vocational Center has a college-preparatory curriculum and gives students chances to learn through practical activities and improve their skills.
