In 2025, Proviso East High School deployed the district’s “Let’s Talk” communication platform to provide families with 24-hour response times to questions and concerns, bolstering transparency between the Maywood campus and the community. The Pirates boys basketball team beat Berwyn/Cicero Morton 50-47 on Feb. 7, 2025, in a conference game, and then played in the annual District 209 rivalry game against Proviso West in December 2025. Proviso East continues to provide SAT and ACT prep, AP and dual credit courses and expanded work-based learning through the district’s Career Academes partnership with Triton College.
