Ridgewood Elementary School’s kindergarteners recently took a hands-on field trip around engineering and creativity. Students learned how to plan, design and create their own bridges and doors, making science and problem solving an active learning experience. First graders also took part in a Learning Lab visit and used ChompSaws to design and build bridges. Such activities support Ridgewood’s emphasis on curiosity, collaboration and hands-on learning that allows young students to link classroom concepts to real projects.
