Being Updated
The art students of Whistler Elem School painted a new mural that is really beautiful, very detailed and very inspiring and runs the length of the main front entrance hallway. The bright, vivid colors and wonderfully cheerful geometric shapes do a terrific job of brightening up the school’s primary entrance and creating a very welcoming, positive atmosphere. All week long, parents, staff, and community members who have been visiting have been commenting on the beautiful, professional-quality artwork and have been expressing pride in our exceptionally talented and committed young student artists.
Q1. Is there a robotics club at Whistler Elem School?
Ans. We just began a small robotics team for the older kids to build and race simple machines.
Q2. What does Whistler Elem School do for picky eaters?
Ans. The cafeteria always has a simple salad or plain sandwich option if the kids don’t like the hotmeal.
Q3. Is there a big end of year party at Whistler Elem School?
Ans. We do a big field day together out in the open with water games, popsicles, and a lot of loud music.
Q4. Are kids able to bring home library books at Whistler Elem School?
Ans. Yes, they can take a new one home weekly, provided they return last week's book.
Q5. Does Whistler Elem School still teach cursive writing?
Ans. In the younger grades we still do basic print handwriting so the kids can write clearly and neatly.
