Washington H Elem School hosted a wonderfully engaging and interactive family reading night last Thursday evening to actively promote childhood literacy and strengthen community bonding among our diverse student body in a joyful way. Comfortably situated in the large school gym, dozens of excited families settled in on soft, cozy blankets to read their absolute favorite classic stories together under specially dimmed, ambient lighting. A big thank you to the Parent-Teacher Association who kindly donated some delicious hot chocolate and fresh baked cookies for all who came out – absolutely everyone! It was a perfectly warm, memorable and very welcoming atmosphere for all our beloved guests.
