Being Updated
Uplift Community High School has expanded its Early College STEAM program. This program allows scholars to take college classes at Harry S. Truman College and earn an associate degree before they graduate. Students at the Uptown campus can choose from pathways in Environmentalism & Sustainability and Elementary Education and also have SAT prep and dual credit included in their schedules. Teachers provide tutoring, social justice curriculum, and personalized supports that assist graduates in transitioning to four-year colleges and careers. The school also holds college fairs, arts showcases, athletics, and celebrates seniors who get a head start on college through City Colleges of Chicago.
