Earlier this busy morning, Stevenson Elem School had a very exciting, extremely informative, and very well attended interactive career day geared especially for the curious upper grade levels. Generous local firefighters, dedicated nurses and successful small business owners graciously came to the campus to passionately talk about their diverse, challenging and rewarding daily professions. The students were very engaged, asking wonderfully insightful, thought-provoking questions and learning a tremendous amount of highly valuable real world information about many different potential future career paths available to them.

Ans. Through a balanced literacy approach ( guided reading , phonics and independent reading ) , they develop skills .

Ans. Yes, students in the upper grades can run for student council to gain leadership experience and to plan fun school spirit activities.
