Last Thursday evening, Salazar Elem Bilingual Center hosted a wonderfully engaging and interactive family reading night to actively promote childhood literacy and strengthen community bonding amongst our diverse student body. In the large school gymnasium, dozens of excited families gathered comfortably to read their absolute favorite classic stories together while relaxing on soft, cozy blankets under specially dimmed, ambient lighting. The Parent-Teacher Association was amazing, providing delicious hot chocolate and freshly baked cookies for everyone who came and creating a perfectly warm, memorable, and very welcoming atmosphere for all of our dear guests.
