Last Thursday evening, Nightingale Elem School had the pleasure of hosting a truly engaging & interactive family reading night, aimed at actively promoting childhood literacy & building community bonds among our diverse student population. The school gym was big, and dozens of excited families were sprawled on soft comfortable blankets, reading their all-time favorite classic stories together under specially dimmed, ambient lighting. Delicious hot chocolate and freshly baked cookies were provided for absolutely everyone who attended by the loyal Parent-Teacher Association making for a perfectly warm, memorable and very welcoming atmosphere for all our beloved guests.
