Recently, Locke J Elementary reimagined a large asphalt space into an outdoor learning and social space, creating a mosaic-decorated retaining wall made by students and local artists. The new space includes the word peace in seven languages in keeping with the school’s International Baccalaureate mission. The student-led IB Advisory Committee also continues to meet monthly, bringing the voice of peers to the table to create positive change on campus.
