Latest News

Middle school students from KIPP Chicago Schools, including Ascend Academy, participated in a Model United Nations conference at Walter Payton College Preparatory High School in December 2024. Student pairs from 24 countries debated Increasing Access to Equitable Education. The event also gave scholars the opportunity to tour the high school facility and learn about future educational pathways. The KIPP Chicago Model UN team has also been working to fundraise to attend the National Model UN Conference in New York City to represent the South and West Sides of Chicago.
