Holmes Elementary School’s annual science fair in Chicago recently resulted in great gains in science application and student confidence. Miguel Gonzalez and Tyrah Reid, students, were honored for their project to enhance NASA’s lunar lander that advanced to the citywide STEM fair where it won awards and citations. Principal Lianne Hughes-Odom said the student projects were of high quality and that the school had done well to compete at the district level.
