Students at Garvey M Elementary School recently participated in a successful Math and Science Magnet showcase, displaying advanced problem-solving and reasoning skills. The campus also announced an expansion of its extracurricular offerings, with high student participation in the music and pickleball clubs. Staff members were also honored for their continued dedication to integrating social-emotional learning and character development into the daily curriculum.
Q1. How do you reward good behavior in the classroom?
Ans. We use a cool digital point system to reward whole classrooms for cooperating and individuals for showing exceptional kindness.
Q2. Is there extra help for kids struggling with math?
Ans. Yeah, we have dedicated math coaches who provide intensive, small-group support lessons for students during our morning study blocks.
Q3. What kind of field trips do the older students take?
Ans. Our students get to visit awesome regional science museums, historic landmarks, and beautiful local nature preserves for hands-on learning.
Q4. How do I schedule a parent-teacher conference?
Ans. We manage all of our family meeting schedules through an easy-to-use electronic portal that you can totally access right on your phone.
Q5. Do you have a cross-country team?
Ans. We sure do! We train a fun co-ed cross-country running team that competes in regional district meets every autumn.
