Students at Chicago High School for Agricultural Sciences are putting their skills to work every day, from mucking goat stalls and feeding alpacas to cultivating holiday wreaths in the greenhouse and developing sourdough starters in full-sized teaching kitchens. The school’s hands-on animal science, food science, horticulture and agricultural mechanics programs enable students to earn Career and Technical Education certificates before they graduate. With its campus farm and partnerships with livestock and industry, the Chicago High School for Agricultural Sciences continues to fast-track students into agricultural and food-science careers. The school’s one-of-a-kind curriculum provides real-world experience to learners year-round.
