Chicago Excel Academy HS was recognized for outstanding achievements and staff members were recognized for their outstanding leadership and collaboration, at the CPS Options Awards Ceremony for 2024-2025. Excel students took part in the One Summer Chicago program, which offered them paid summer jobs and career experience at local businesses, restaurants and the YMCA along with financial literacy workshops and drone technology. The school also honored student achievement by earning its Recognized ASCA Model Program designation from the American School Counselor Association for exemplary school counseling services.
