Burnside Scholastic Academy will continue with its “Unlocking Our Golden Potential” theme focusing on student attendance and school engagement activities during the 2025-2026 school year. The school recently posted an average attendance of 91.4 percent and is working towards recognition as one of the top attendance performing schools in Chicago. Students and families also attended community events such as the Winter Family Sneaker Ball Dance, Family READ Day and the Chicago History Fair, which contributed to increased school participation and student involvement throughout the academic year.
