Orville T. Bright Elementary School partnered with City Year Chicago and community volunteers for a beautification project on MLK Day of Service. Volunteers spent the day painting colourful murals around campus, including a world map mural to represent the school’s diverse student body. This project was an opportunity to improve shared learning spaces and to promote student and community participation. School staff also pointed to the activity as part of the school's ongoing efforts to foster a welcoming and supportive climate for students and families.
