One of the biggest positive highlights for Blair Early Childhood Centre was the selection of special education teacher Michelle Zurita-Sharpe as the Illinois State Board of Education’s 2024 Early Childhood Teacher of the Year. She was recognised for her interactive teaching methods, support of an inclusive classroom and contribution to early childhood education programmes for students with varying learning needs.
