Aldridge Elementary School recently received funding through the Sustainable Community Schools initiative to expand community partnerships and student support programs. The school also opened a new native garden that serves as an outdoor learning space where students can participate in STEM and environmental education activities. In addition, middle school students worked with the Field Museum on a community planning project that allowed them to create future development ideas for the Altgeld Gardens neighborhood.
