Students at Washington Elementary School recently celebrated a successful reading achievement with the Battle of the Books competition. Teams from several District 87 elementary schools took part, and Washington was the winning team, and hosted the event. The activity provided students with an opportunity to showcase team work, book knowledge and confidence in a friendly academic setting.
