Bloomington High School was in the spotlight when a student team was named one of three national winners in the 15th annual Samsung Solve for Tomorrow STEM competition for their prototype, Storm Shield. The invention is an eco-friendly headband designed to protect hearing aids during physical activity. The school earned a $100,000 prize and an additional $25,000 Rising Entrepreneurship Award. Mark Cuban was also in town recently meeting with and inspiring local high school students.
