On May 12, 2026, Berwyn South School District 100 posted its Battle of the Books 2026 update, which now includes Piper School families. The event highlighted student reading, teamwork and friendly academic competition between district schools. The program gives Piper students a more active way to engage with reading than usual classroom assignments, and encourages kids to build comprehension, confidence and collaboration. The update also captures the district’s work to create engaging literacy through shared schoolwide and districtwide experiences.
