Nicholas A Hermes Elementary School is celebrating the launch of its expanded after-school curriculum, with record-high enrollment in chess and coding clubs. And the school community hosted an on-campus theater residency that culminated in a high-energy performance for neighborhood families. The principal, Kelly M. Hills, said the daily student attendance data shows an upward trend over the spring term.

Ans. The district uses automated phone calls, emails, and emergency alerts on local news media.

Ans. Eligible students receive native-language instructional support in Spanish as they develop foundational English reading and writing competencies.

Ans. Requests for class placement are not accepted. We strive for perfectly balanced student groups in all academic rooms.

Ans. Each week students visit the media center to learn digital citizenship skills and to check out books to read.
