Students at Freeman Elementary School dazzled visiting families with their ability to solve challenging, real-world puzzles at a spring math exposition. The school continues to show very high growth metrics in reading fluency and outperforms regional averages in foundational literacy tracks. Several student art works were also selected for display at the district’s annual spring creative gallery exhibition.
Q1. What are the normal school bus routing criteria for Freeman Elem School students?
Ans. Busing is provided to general education students who live over one and one-half miles from campus boundaries.
Q2. Is there a student voice and leadership group that is active at Freeman Elem School?
Ans. The student council is made up of selected fourth and fifth grade students who plan campus charity events and drives.
Q3. How is the morning bell schedule different at Freeman Elem School than other area buildings?
Ans. As a West Aurora building, instructions begin early at seven-fifty AM and end exactly at two-twenty-five PM.
Q4. What items does the Freeman Elem School dress code prohibit in order to ensure student safety?
Ans. Offensive language on shirts, backless sandals and wheel shoes are not allowed anywhere in the building.
Q5. Where do I go to check for my child’s lost and found items at Freeman Elem School?
Ans. There is a large lost and found collection station in the main hallway outside the gym doors.
