On "STEAM Day," which happens once a month, students at Ponderosa Elementary do small projects in math, science, technology, engineering, and art. The first STEAM Day was all about kids making simple machines, painting art based on shapes, and playing with basic science kits. The teachers said that the students were very interested and worked well together.
