The Boise School District Board has chosen Wendy Johnson to be the new superintendent starting in July 2026. This means that Boise Online School is moving forward with a new leadership change. The school is also getting ready for the 2026–27 school year by adding a $16 million national study that aims to improve student mental health and use proven ways to s to p problems before they start. Additionally, the academy has changed its personal electronic device policy for the 2025–2026 school year in order to make sure that all secondary grade levels have a more consistent and focused virtual learning environment.
