It opened in 1893 as, literally, a two-room primitive school. It became a full campus, but the history remains strong. While the school has welcomed many visitors - Governor Carl Sanders and the President Eisenhower were notable, Monte Sano values quality student achievement as much as participation in the community, district, and school. Monte Sano provides a variety of programs, including arts and music, and family involvement, to allow the students an incredible experience. Monte Sano's time-honored traditions and commitment to a holistic education ultimately make it unique. It ranges students from the September birth month to the end of the calendar year, linking history, innovation, and a learning-centered environment for all students.

A: Yes, they have STEM in every class with projects, experiments, and working together that helps kids become better thinkers.
Q2: How do I sign my kid up?
A: To enroll your child you will need a birth certificate, proof of your residency, shot records and documents from the previous school. The school district can help you with getting everything completed.
Q3: Are the teachers good at Monte Sano Elementary?
A: Yes! The teachers know what they're doing and they are educated and engaging. They strive to make learning fun and establish friendships that assist students in doing well in school.
Q4: What can kids do after school?
A: Kids get to choose if they want to play on the sports team, join an after school club or participate in art or music. Kids will be encouraged to be creative, cooperative and build their self-identity outside of the classroom.
Q5: Can kids stay before or after school?
A: Yes! The school offers programs to supervise kids and assist them with homework, along with fun activities before or after school.
