Radium Springs Elementary School in Albany, Georgia, has been quite active within different endeavors. In 2024, the school system appointed Valerie McGhee as the new principal. McGhee brings many years of experience working with the Dougherty County School System. The school hosted activities such as “Tea Time with Moms” and “Donuts with Dads” to enhance family involvement, and participated in activities celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month for their students and families. Radium Springs Elementary also partnered with the H.E.A.R.T. Organization, that provided over 400 pair of shoes to support their students. Safety is always a number priority, which is especially important following events that involved a kitchen fire and staff safety incident.
